The Ardpatrick Peninsula

Ardpatrick is a very special place located on an out-of-the-way part of the beautiful Knapdale peninsula. Large sections of the countryside surrounding the B8024 road between Ardrishaig and Tarbert have been designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty, with Ardpatrick among them. It lies at the end of a side road off the B8024, about 10 miles west of Tarbert.

The climate at Ardpatrick is generally more benign than other parts of the West Highlands, and rainfall maps back up the idea of it having a micro-climate of its own. It's not uncommon to see clouds to the north and south of us with blue sky over the Ardpatrick peninsula.

The secluded nature of Ardpatrick means that there are many beautiful walks just outside the door, and the absence of traffic noise gives an incredibly peaceful holiday.

Within walking distance of the cottage there are sheltered shallow bays that warm in the sun and are ideal for snorkelling.
